The Sony ILME-FX5 Cinema Line Camera is a filmmaker-grade piece of equipment that's engineered to help avid or amateur users maximize their ability to capture premium content.

The camera utilizes its full sensor width to give editors the ability to crop, reframe and shoot vertically thanks to its 5K open gate recording style. The internal X-OCN RAW functionality means the camera will record 16-bit RAW footage straight to the storage card to eliminate the need for external recording devices. The unit offers three base ISO settings including ISO 800, 4000 and 12800 alongside Dual Gain to help keep the detail in the shadows and support highlights with 15-plus stops of latitude.

The Sony ILME-FX5 Cinema Line Camera uses the BIONZ XR2 engine to effectively track eyes, heads and full bodies in dim lighting conditions.
