Leica Commemorates Its Anniversary with Community Garden

Leica Camera USA has announced that its Boston store and gallery location will commemorate its tenth anniversary this fall with a special exhibition titled Community Garden. This venture will bring together 13 photographers who have previously shown work at the venue alongside four emerging artists. The goal is to collectively represent the creative relationships and community connections that have developed over the past decade.

The Community Garden exhibition features photographs created between 1961 and 2026, spanning both film and digital capture, and encompasses a diverse range of genres including portraiture, documentary, street photography, abstraction, and landscape. Images are taken across multiple countries such as Greece, Mexico, Ukraine, Brazil, and the United States.

The gallery space, which opened in September 2016 and has since hosted numerous exhibitions, workshops, artist talks, and portfolio reviews, has established itself as a cultural hub within New England's photographic community through ongoing partnerships with organizations like the Photographic Resource Center and the Griffin Museum of Photography.
