On-Device AI Agents
Open Minis Brings AI Agents And Computer-Like Tools To Your Phone
Most mobile AI assistants are designed primarily for conversation, but Open Minis gives an AI agent access to a broader set of tools directly on the device. The free, open-source app runs on iOS and Android and includes a sandboxed Alpine Linux environment where the agent can install packages, run Python, edit files, and interact with a browser.
More than 30 native integrations also connect the agent with device capabilities and services such as HealthKit, HomeKit, Calendar, and Photos. Users can bring their own AI model, with support for services including Claude, GPT, Gemini, Kimi, and Grok, as well as OpenAI-compatible endpoints. The platform is designed around local processing, with API keys and user data remaining on the phone rather than being sent to the app's own servers. By combining an AI model with a sandboxed computing environment and native mobile integrations, Open Minis aims to turn a phone into a more capable personal AI workspace.
