American Airlines Introduced Its JFK Grab-and-Go Lounge

American Airlines introduced plans for a 3,700-square-foot grab-and-go lounge at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, designed to serve travelers who want food and beverages without spending extended time in a traditional airport club. Scheduled to open by the end of 2026, the facility will feature a barista bar with hot and iced coffee drinks alongside hot and cold takeaway food.

The JFK location will become the second lounge in American’s Provisions format, following the concept’s debut at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in 2025. Located in Terminal 8, the compact lounge will complement American’s existing Admirals Club and premium spaces shared with Oneworld Alliance travelers.

For time-pressed passengers, the grab-and-go format offers a faster alternative to full-service lounge visits while still providing premium refreshments. The concept reflects the broader airline trend toward smaller hospitality spaces that improve convenience and help reduce crowding in larger airport clubs.
