F.P. Journe Chronomètre à Résonance is a Pre-Production Wristwatch

F.P. Journe Chronomètre à Résonance is a pre-production wristwatch scheduled to be offered by Phillips during the Geneva Watch Auction: XXIV this November. Produced in 1999, the timepiece is regarded as the earliest commercially numbered example of the model and belongs to a group of approximately ten pre-production watches that predate the better-known Souscription and Pre-Souscription editions. Its distinguishing characteristics include a shiny pink gold dial with silver subdials, shallow caseback engravings, and a brass movement. The watch is also recognized for utilizing two closely positioned balance wheels that synchronize through the physical phenomenon of resonance to improve timekeeping accuracy.

Estimated at 500,000 to 1 million CHF (approximately $617,000 to $1.12 million USD), the watch represents one of the earliest examples of F.P. Journe's landmark resonance technology before the model's public launch in 2000. Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo will present the timepiece during the Geneva Watch Auction: XXIV at the Hotel President in Geneva on November 7–8, 2026.
