SnapMatePhoto Launches Its Digital Marketplace

SnapMatePhoto is a Seattle-based digital marketplace launched by University of Washington graduate Sky Yang, connecting customers with photographers for graduation portraits, weddings, maternity shoots and other life events. The platform features photographer profiles with portfolio images, specialties and rates, allowing customers to browse and book directly while streamlining the process of finding local photographers.

Launched in October 2025, SnapMatePhoto now lists more than 120 photographers in the Seattle area and handles payments through Stripe. The marketplace aims to make professional photography more accessible by offering a wide range of price points while giving photographers an additional channel to attract clients.

For consumers, SnapMatePhoto centralizes portfolio browsing, booking and payments in one place, making it easier to hire photographers for milestone occasions. The platform reflects the growing trend of specialized marketplaces connecting freelance creatives with local demand.
