Bath & Body Works' Almond Croissant Began as a Perfumery School Assignment

Bath & Body Works' Almond Croissant fragrance is designed to evoke the experience of biting into a warm pastry, and this scent with notes of toasted almonds, vanilla glaze and flaky croissant began as a final perfumery school assignment

Bath & Body Works wanted to develop a scent that captured the cozy feel of coffee shop culture, and turned to Givaudan and perfumer Dana Schmitt to help bring that vision to life. While studying in Paris, Schmitt was challenged to create a fall candle for Bath & Body Works. What started as a concept for a pumpkin spice croissant evolved into Almond Croissant, which is available beyond home fragrance through Old Soul, Bath & Body Works' new collection inspired by café culture. "The best fragrances tell a story and create an emotional connection," Schmitt said. "For Almond Croissant, that story is about slowing down, savoring simple pleasures and finding comfort in life's everyday moments."
