Sinas Architects Has Designed the Rhoēs Project

Sinas Architects' Rhoēs project presents a contemporary residence on the exposed landscape of Serifos Island in the Cyclades. This venture is conceived as a sequence of spaces that negotiates wind, sun, terrain, and views, allowing the landscape to become an active design generator rather than treating it as a mere backdrop.

Walls, courtyards, and sheltered outdoor spaces emerge from a continuous dialogue with the site's climatic and topographical conditions. The project seeks to explore how contemporary architecture can belong to the Cycladic landscape without relying on the formal vocabulary of traditional architecture.

The 4,500 square meter site will accommodate a 390 square meter built area, with materials including natural stone, exposed concrete, oak, glass, and aluminum, and the project is currently under development with an estimated completion in 2028.
