Purina Collaborates with the Senior Dog Veterinary Society

Purina, a prominent pet care company with a long history of scientific research in animal nutrition, has announced a formal collaboration with the Senior Dog Veterinary Society to provide veterinary professionals with specialized educational resources and clinical tools aimed at improving dietary management for aging canine patients. This partnership will deliver a series of RACE-approved continuing education webinars, beginning with a session focused on proactive nutritional strategies for healthy senior dogs, presented by a board-certified veterinary nutritionist, and designed to equip practitioners with actionable insights that can be directly applied in everyday practice.

Purina and the Senior Dog Veterinary Society's initiative addresses a significant gap in veterinary medicine, as there is currently no universally recognized definition for the senior life stage in dogs due to wide variations in aging rates across different breeds, sizes, and genetic backgrounds.
