Autonomous Tennis Partner Robots
Acemate introduced the S10 tennis robot, an autonomous robot designed to recreate live rallies using binocular 4K vision and onboard AI. The system tracks ball speed, depth and trajectory in three dimensions, then moves across the court on omnidirectional Mecanum wheels to catch incoming shots and return them over the net.
Players can adjust shot speed, spin, placement and difficulty through the companion app, with the S10 capable of delivering flat, topspin, slice and lob shots up to eight metres high. The robot also records performance data including shot placement, contact points, accuracy and rally consistency, while Apple Watch integration provides summaries such as session duration, shot count and calories burned. It weighs 17.8 kilograms and offers approximately two hours of use per charge.
For players, the S10 provides repeatable, match-like practice without requiring a human partner. The robot reflects the growing use of AI-powered training tools that combine responsive gameplay with personalized performance analysis.
