The Realbotix Teaching Assistant Brings Humanoid Ai into U.s. Classrooms

The Realbotix teaching assistant is being piloted at Salamanca City Central School District in New York, making the district the first in the United States to introduce the company's humanoid robot and AI-powered education platform. The program combines the M-Series humanoid robot with Optio, an AI teaching assistant that provides curriculum-based tutoring, homework support, concept reinforcement, and multilingual assistance through personalized avatars. Rather than replacing teachers, the technology is designed to encourage classroom participation while extending learning beyond school hours.

The pilot will initially serve high school students enrolled in AI and robotics courses before expanding to approximately 500 students during the fall term. Salamanca, located on the Seneca Nation Reservation, is already part of Steve Wozniak's Woz ED STEM Pathway program, providing a foundation for AI-focused education. Feedback from students and teachers will help refine the platform as Realbotix continues developing embodied AI for educational environment.
