Sustainability-Focused Brand Progress Reports
PepsiCo has released its 2025 ESG performance summary, detailing progress under its pep+ (PepsiCo Positive) strategic framework, which aims to embed sustainability and human capital into the company's core operations across climate action, agriculture, packaging, water stewardship, nutrition, and people.
Through the 2025 ESG performance summary, the company reported a 24% reduction in its Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions against a 2022 baseline, a 12% cut in Scope 3 Energy and Industry emissions, and an 18% decrease in Scope 3 Forest, Land and Agriculture emissions. PepsiCo noted that it was sourcing 96% of its global electricity needs for company-owned operations from renewable sources.
In agricultural initiatives, PepsiCo collaborated with Yara International to deploy low-carbon fertilizers and precision farming technologies across approximately 1,000 farms covering 128,000 hectares in Europe.
