Waymo Ojai Vehicles are Now Available to All Riders

Waymo has expanded public access to its purpose-built Ojai autonomous vehicles, making the driverless ride-hailing model available to all riders in Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Francisco. The electric van features a spacious cabin and rear-seat entertainment amenities developed specifically for autonomous transportation, following a limited rollout that began earlier this year. The wider release extends Waymo's dedicated robotaxi fleet across its three largest operating markets.

The announcement follows the company's recent approval to begin operating driverless vehicles in Sacramento and San Diego, continuing the expansion of its autonomous ride-hailing network. The Ojai model joins Waymo's growing fleet after freeway service was restored in July following earlier operational pauses and software updates. The driverless vans are now available through the Waymo ride-hailing service in Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Francisco.
