The Gears of War: E-Day Xbox Controller Has Two Limited Gamepads

The Gears of War: E-Day Xbox controller collection introduces two limited-edition accessories inspired by the upcoming Xbox exclusive. The standard controller features a 3D-molded shell with laser-etched emergence hole textures, cracked asphalt detailing, transparent red face buttons and D-pad, matching red triggers, and an accompanying 8BitDo charging dock. The second release arrives through Xbox Design Lab, pairing exclusive Lancer artwork by illustrator Luke Preece with customizable triggers, thumbsticks, buttons, and color options to create a more personalized design while retaining the game's visual identity.

Both controllers expand the Gears of War: E-Day launch with hardware that reflects the franchise's gritty aesthetic through contrasting design approaches. The standard version emphasizes tactile finishes and sculpted textures, while the Design Lab edition focuses on graphic artwork and customization. The textured controller is available for pre-order now, with the Design Lab version launching on September 30. Both accessories will be showcased at Gamescom on August 25 ahead of the game's October 6, 2026 release.
