SK Hynix Lists Nasdaq SKHY to Fund Its Memory Fabrication Capacity

SK Hynix launched American depositary receipts on the Nasdaq under the ticker SKHY, raising approximately $26.5 billion to expand memory fabrication and advanced packaging capacity in South Korea. Priced at $149 per ADR, the offering was reportedly more than seven times oversubscribed and gives U.S. investors direct access to a leading supplier of high-bandwidth memory used in AI accelerators.

The company plans to direct the proceeds toward a new semiconductor fabrication plant, an advanced packaging facility and 11.9 trillion won in extreme ultraviolet lithography equipment. Cornerstone investors indicated interest in up to $7 billion of the offering, while SK Hynix is estimated to hold approximately 50% to 55% of the global HBM market.

For investors and AI infrastructure developers, the listing channels substantial capital into a critical hardware segment supporting GPUs and data centers. The debut may also reshape valuation comparisons with memory rivals Micron and Samsung.

Cannabis-Focused Lifestyle Brand Takeovers

SunMed Growers, a Maryland-based cannabis cultivator with three generations of greenhouse farming heritage, has announced a partnership with the lifestyle brand Old Pal to relaunch the latter's product line in the state through a licensing, manufacturing, and distribution agreement. This collaboration brings Old Pal's portfolio, which includes whole flower, two-pack pre-rolls, and the original 'Ready to Roll' ground cannabis kits available in sativa, indica, and hybrid varieties, back to Maryland after the brand had previously established a following during the state's medical-only market phase.
