Lidl Launches Its Kids Trolley Fruit And Vegetable Scavenger Hunt

Lidl GB launched a summer trial that transforms its child-sized shopping trolleys into fruit and vegetable scavenger hunts, featuring recyclable clue tags attached to the mini trolleys. The initiative launched in mid-July across 100 selected stores, aiming to make the weekly grocery shop a more engaging and educational experience for young children.

The scavenger hunt uses playful clues such as "Mini Trees" and "Orange Sticks" to encourage children to identify different fruits and vegetables. Participating stores also offer Lidl Plus vouchers for free fruit and vegetable items during the summer holidays. The initiative builds on Lidl Foodies, the retailer's nutrition education program, which is now in its second year and has expanded to more than a quarter of British primary schools.

Surprise Charitable Back-To-School Initiatives

Round Room, a Verizon Authorized Retailer operating under the TCC and Wireless Zone brands, orchestrated a surprise back-to-school initiative called Operation Do Good, during which nearly 3,000 students and teachers across six Indianapolis Public Schools middle schools received new New Balance shoes and socks. The total donation is estimated to be worth over $375,000, with the event disguised as a pep rally and featuring volunteer engagement, small-group activities, and personal fittings.
