IKEA U.S. Announces Three New Donations to LGBTQIA+ Organizations

IKEA U.S. — the home furnishing retailer known for its commitment to creating a better everyday life — has expanded its Pride Month initiatives by announcing three new donations totalling $95,000 to organizations that provide affirming mental health care, support services, and safe housing for LGBTQIA+ individuals and youth. This announcement builds on the furniture giant's existing partnerships with The Trevor Project and Rainbow Railroad.

IKEA U.S.'s contributions include $35,000 to the Pacific Center for Human Growth in the San Francisco Bay Area to fund approximately 300 therapy sessions on a sliding scale, $35,000 to Asylum Pride House in Philadelphia to provide six months of therapy services for clients navigating complex circumstances, and $25,000 to IYG in Indiana to help furnish long-term housing for LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults experiencing housing insecurity. This expanded effort reflects the company's belief that belonging extends beyond the workplace into the communities it serves.

Surprise Charitable Back-To-School Initiatives

Round Room, a Verizon Authorized Retailer operating under the TCC and Wireless Zone brands, orchestrated a surprise back-to-school initiative called Operation Do Good, during which nearly 3,000 students and teachers across six Indianapolis Public Schools middle schools received new New Balance shoes and socks. The total donation is estimated to be worth over $375,000, with the event disguised as a pep rally and featuring volunteer engagement, small-group activities, and personal fittings.
