Athleta Celebrated Women with the 'Wake the Water' Event

Athleta, a women's performance apparel brand and certified B Corp, hosted an International Women's Day event in its hometown of San Francisco called 'Wake the Water' — a sunrise cold plunge experience designed to bring women together in a collective act of courage and connection while directly supporting local girls' programs.

In partnership with the female-founded Ocean Beach Plunge Club, the sunrise cold plunge experience invited Bay Area women to participate in a guided shoreline walk followed by a shared cold-water immersion in the San Francisco Bay. For every woman who took part, Athleta committed to donating $250 to Girls on the Run Bay Area, with a total contribution of up to $50,000.

The morning also included a beachside gathering featuring offerings from several female-founded local businesses.
