Frontier Announces Its Starlink Onboard Wi-Fi Launch in 2027

Frontier Airlines announced plans to introduce Starlink onboard Wi-Fi in 2027 as part of its broader investment in the passenger experience. The airline revealed the initiative during its Q2 earnings call, alongside record quarterly revenue of $1.3 billion, representing a 38% year-over-year increase.

The planned service will use SpaceX’s Starlink satellite network to provide inflight internet connectivity. Frontier has not yet detailed installation schedules, fleetwide coverage or specific passenger use cases, but positioned the rollout as part of its 2027 product initiatives and wider transformation strategy focused on commercial improvements, loyalty enhancements and customer-facing investments.
