The Sound Blaster AE-9x Features ESS Sabre DAC Technology

Creative Technology has introduced the Sound Blaster AE-9X, a PCIe sound card designed for desktop PC users seeking dedicated audio hardware beyond integrated motherboard solutions. The card is equipped with an ESS Sabre-class DAC architecture and supports high-resolution audio playback alongside headphone amplification and recording functions. A separate external audio control module accompanies the card, providing front-facing volume adjustment, microphone input, and headphone connectivity without requiring access to rear PC ports.

The AE-9X incorporates discrete audio processing components, gold-plated connectors, and support for surround sound formats across gaming, music, and content creation applications. The external module includes XLR microphone connectivity with phantom power support, while the card itself is built around a shielded design intended to reduce electrical interference inside desktop systems. Creative also includes software controls for EQ adjustment, audio enhancement features, and customizable sound profiles.
