When it comes to cake decorating, people haven’t had much reason to think beyond sweet, creamy frosting, but creative culinary and event management studio OUI AÏA launched a savory cake decorating class designed to get people thinking differently about what a cake can be. At the sold-out OUI AïA x AHWA Savoury Cake Decorating Playshop, guests experienced a playful twist on traditional cake decorating and took home their edible centerpiece. Building on a bread cake base, savory food fans assembled their masterpieces with layers of cheese, herbs, and vegetables, carefully considering how flavor, color and texture work in harmony to create savory cakes as delicious as visually striking.
