Stabilized Recumbent Trikes
This Novel Trike Uses A Tilting Front End For Dynamic Riding
The Allroadracer ‘TriX’ is a recumbent trike that takes the usual three-wheel setup and makes it a lot more active.
Instead of staying flat through turns, the front wheels tilt up to 27 degrees, so it leans into corners rather than just relying on width for balance. The front suspension also moves independently with up to 260 mm of travel, while a rear shock adds another 120 mm. That combination keeps things smooth over rough terrain and helps the ride stay level even when the surface isn’t, marking a significantly noticeable shift from the more rigid feel that many trikes have long subjected their riders to.
One of the more unusual details is the telescoping carbon fiber tube frame. It adjusts to fit different riders and houses the chain internally, connecting to a 250-watt motor and battery setup with an estimated range of 70 to 100 km.
