Staple-Free Paper Binding

PaperLock Binds Up to Five Sheets Without Staples

PaperLock replaces conventional staples with a mechanism that cuts and interlocks the paper itself. Pressing the lever drives a small cutting element through the stack, folding the paper back through itself to create a secure join without adding metal to the page. The staple-free design leaves nothing behind when documents are shredded or recycled, while the binding sits flat without crinkled corners or exposed hardware. It holds up to five sheets at a time, covering everyday documents such as meeting notes, contracts, and instruction sheets.

A transparent body exposes the internal mechanism during use, while a viewing window shows where the join will land before the lever is pressed. A corner guide helps maintain consistent placement, and the dual-grip lever can be pressed down with the thumb or squeezed in the palm. The $35 tool is designed for repeated everyday use without staples or other consumables, although its five-sheet capacity limits it to smaller document stacks.
