Virtual Pet Game Pop-Ups

Neopets, the browser-based virtual pet and social community game that launched in 1999, is hosting its first-ever pop-up experience, Neo York, in Shopify NY in SoHo this August. At this pop-up made possible in partnership with Shopify, guests can shop for exclusive Neo York merchandise and get a free post-event in-game item code.

"For a long time, Neopets was talked about in the past tense," said Dominic Law, Chief Executive Officer of Neopets. "None of what's happened since is down to us alone. This community never let go, through years when we gave them very little reason to hold on. Neo York is our thank you. If you haven't logged in since school, come and find out who's still waiting for you." Neo York will offer a range of activities throughout the weekend, from tarot readings and claw machines to trading posts.
