Habitat for Humanity Launched the Let’s Open the Door Campaign

Habitat for Humanity's Let’s Open the Door campaign is a global initiative marking the organization’s 50th anniversary. This robust venture aims to raise awareness about the worldwide housing crisis through experiential pop-up installations across ten international cities, on-the-ground home builds, digital storytelling, and the Home is the Key fundraising initiative in the United States, which is supported by corporate partners including State Farm, Whirlpool, Lowe’s, and Wells Fargo.

Habitat for Humanity's Let’s Open the Door campaign responds to the reality that one in three people globally lacks the security of a safe and affordable home. The project positions housing not merely as shelter but as the foundation for improved health, education, economic opportunity, and community stability.

Jonathan Reckford, chief executive officer of Habitat for Humanity International, shared: “With the support of our partners, the Let’s Open the Door campaign will create awareness of the need to increase better access to affordable and sustainable housing, and everyone can play a part. Whether by lending your voice, your time or your talents, you can help advance housing access, affordability and sustainable solutions, and help open the doors to homeownership for more families around the world.”
