Well-Placed Ketchup Ads
'It's Not a Hot Dog Without Heinz' Accompanies a Sculpture in Times Square
This month, the world's largest hot dog sculpture returned to Times Square and since the 65-foot hot dog arrived with a colorful bunting, a bun and a ribbon of yellow mustard, Heinz saw the chance for a cleverly placed billboard to say "It's Not a Hot Dog Without Heinz." 2026's Hot Dog: The Second Serving is a return of the original Hot Dog in the City from 2024, reimagined for America’s 250th. With agency Rethink and the sculpture’s original artists, Jen Catron and Paul Outlaw, Heinz installed an ad just above the large-scale sculpture, featuring a dripping ketchup bottle, perfectly angled to look as if it was mid-pour.
For some, a hot dog simply isn't complete with just one condiment, and this well-placed ad speaks to the hearts of Heinz fans who are just as passionate about their favorite ketchup.
