Food Scrap-Collecting Countertop Bins

Compost Genie, a brand under the Angelcare Group known for its odor-control disposal systems, including the Diaper Genie, has introduced a new Countertop Bin designed to collect food scraps directly on the kitchen counter. This innovation features a 4.92-liter (1.3-gallon) capacity, a removable inner bucket for mess-free transfer to outdoor compost piles or green bins, and a ventilated design that accommodates compostable bags while promoting airflow to reduce moisture buildup.

The product comes with 12 plant-based bags and is compatible with refill rolls of 50, with smooth, easy-to-clean surfaces and hand-washable removable parts. It is initially available through Amazon and Wayfair, with upcoming distribution on Walmart and Target platforms.

The compact footprint makes it feasible for even cramped condos, while the dual-use design allows flexibility in whether to use the inner bucket or directly line the bin with a bag.
