Citizens Pet Launches the Unconditional Dog Food Brand

California-based pet food producer Citizens Pet has launched a new premium dog food brand called Unconditional. This venture protein-forward recipes utilizing proprietary air-drying technology to offer minimally processed nutrition in a shelf-stable format that does not require refrigeration or thawing.

Citizens Pet's core proposition revolves around making high-quality, air-dried food more accessible by owning its manufacturing facility in Fresno, which allows for complete control over sourcing, production, and quality assurance. The recipes are crafted with real meat as the primary ingredient, exclude artificial preservatives, fillers, and byproducts, and are available in 100% air-dried complete diets, grain-free kibble blends with air-dried inclusions, and functional toppers.

Unconditional made its official debut at SUPERZOO 2026 and is now available nationwide through major retailers like PetSmart, Petco, and Pet Supplies Plus.
