Hosted Chatter & Natter Sessions Help People Connect Weekly

Mitchells & Butlers, the UK’s leading restaurant and pub company, teamed up with The Chatty Cafe Scheme—the UK's leading non‑profit social enterprise tackling loneliness and social isolation—to launch weekly hosted Chatter & Natter sessions across more than 60 sites in England and Wales. With intentionality and a simple, welcoming space created to sip coffee or tea, engage in conversation and make connections, this initiative invites locals to drop by regularly and feel like they are part of something bigger.

As part of this community-centered, loneliness-fighting initiative, there's a goal to recruit a total of 240 volunteer hosts who will welcome guests and help to start conversations across all participating locations, so that no one has to feel uncomfortable or awkward arriving on their own.
