Community-Led Clean Beauty Brands

beecee, Created by Beautycounter's Founder, Was Built for Gen Z

Gregg Renfrew founded Beautycounter in 2013 (which has since rebranded as Counter) and beecee is the brand's newer, younger sibling, purpose-built for Gen Z. beecee was built on a mission to "take beauty back" and before a single product has officially launched, it has built a waitlist of more than 10,000 women across the United States, purely through word-of-mouth, peer recommendations, and social media. Already, this engaged community is playing a key part in testing products, sharing feedback and showing up at in-person experiences, and beecee plans to bring community events to 10 cities before launching a university-focused program on college campuses this fall. “I’ve spent more than a decade building for women, and one of my strongest convictions is that clean beauty should reach women much earlier in their journey. But products alone aren’t enough,” said Renfrew. “The next chapter of beauty is about creating spaces where women learn from one another."

beecee is set to launch on September 15th with a curated collection of multifunctional beauty essentials that adhere to Counter’s Blueprint for Clean standard.
