Facebook Search is becoming an answer layer for public experience.

AI Mode and discovery changes mean Facebook content can serve search-like demand. Brands need answerable, verifiable public posts, not only follower updates.

Facebook content is no longer only a follower update. Meta's AI Mode direction suggests that public Facebook material can become part of an answer layer built from Groups, Reels and other shared experience. That changes how a brand should write knowledge content on the platform.

Meta's June 2026 update on new AI tools for Facebook describes AI Mode as a search experience that can use public content from Groups, Reels and other parts of Facebook to help answer questions. The announcement does not publish performance numbers, and the actual experience will vary by rollout and market. The relevant signal is structural: public posts may be read by the system as answer material, not only by followers scrolling a feed.

The same direction appears in Meta's update on creating, discovering and sharing content, where Search, Feed and Reels are presented as connected discovery surfaces. Meta's Reels update adds that video attention and same-day creator content are more prominent inside recommendations. Together, these updates make Facebook closer to a mixed discovery and search environment.

Meta's originality policy update is the editorial constraint. If thin reuse is less favoured, answerable content needs more than borrowed phrasing. It should contain a specific question, a concrete answer, the context behind the answer and evidence the brand can stand behind. A vague thought-leadership caption is less useful than a post that answers one buyer question clearly.

There is also a privacy and community boundary. Public group content may inform discovery experiences, but brands should not treat private community discussion as free raw material for public marketing. The safer practice is to identify recurring questions, remove identifying detail and publish an original answer with clear source boundaries.

So what

Write Facebook knowledge posts as answerable pages in miniature. Start with the question a buyer would search, answer it in the first paragraph, then add evidence, limitation and next step. If a post cannot be understood outside the follower feed, it is weak search material. If it can answer a public question with verifiable context, it may keep working after the day it was posted.
